Hello! 
I had a busy weekend literally sitting in front of the computer sorting out my Etsy shop making it more professional sounding! Wow its taking ages but I am getting there! It is def the boring bit of crafting but once its done properly I guess it has more chance to sell :-) 
I was taken out to a lovely pub this afternoon by my boyfriend so had a lovely walk along the canal and had got treated to a huge roast followed by chocolate cake mmmmmm! 
I was busy last week making lots of cards! I will upload them soon and add them to my Etsy shop! Vintage is such a good theme and I am having so much fun with all my Vintage papers! 
I can't believe its August already! I feel Christmas ideas are coming very soon! He he!

Make small spaces big

Hello

So Goodbye Manchester Hello Sunny Skipton! 

I officially got here last Sunday and I am really enjoying it! But I have had a lot of cleaning, tidying and sorting to do so it's been quite tiring really! But I am finally starting to properly settled in and I have been able to start working on my arty bits again! 

So anyways! 

I saw the new 'Ikea' advert this morning, I really liked it! I have seen criticism saying that the dolls are scary and its not appropriate, I think it is really cute and really works for the campaign 

- 'Make small spaces big'

- making even the smallest of spaces feel big.  

A little girl sits and plays with the dolls in a dolls house bringing the family to life.  

Even though the dolls house is huge the filming is shown in a small 'apartment type' area and really shows the best use of the furniture that the mother and son share! 

It is so cute! 

It reminds me of Polly Pocket! I use to love them!

I hope more people appreciate this sweet advert!

Hopefully I will get some inspiration for all my craft stuff soon! I could def do with some more storage he he!

Sausage Dog World!

Hello
So on Friday I popped down to the 'Craft and Design Centre' in Manchester with a friend and came across the 'Sausage Dog' studio! Amongst all the sausageness we found the creator, Harriet, and managed to ask her a few questions about how she started out. Harriet was so lovely and answered all our questions! She really inspired me and told us that if we are really passionate about our crafts then we should just go for it.! If you know me, you know that art is 'My World' I live it everyday (cliche hey) but its true, I have stayed up til 12 tonight making a card and brooch, I can't stop creating! My room looks like 'Hobbycraft' has exploded over it tonight he he! Papers, ribbons and diamontes everywhere! I thank Harriet for helping me to look at myself and realising that actually it is possible to reach for your dreams! Positive thinking all the way! These last couple of days I have been working hard to get an order of cards made and I have another order to complete so things are stepping forward! I do just have to work hard! After all, if it were easy would I be doing it...I love making cards and I think people can see how much love I put into each card that I make! So, I urge you to go visit Harriet and her sausages! So fun and quirky!

My treasures are worthless in his hands

Hello,

I had a weird week last week. Monday started off so well with lots of lovely sunshine but at the end of the day it felt like I was thundered on. I had my purse and phone stolen at work. I was at the front of the unit cleaning when a nasty guy walked in and picked them up from the work tops. I luckily did not hear or see him which I am so glad about! I think that would have shaken me up a lot more. Stupidly we never locked the back door, but the very next day I made sure I got the lock sorted. It was a horrible experience and it made work feel so uncomfortable! The fact that someone had two really personal things of mine just felt horrible! Little pressed pennies I had collected on my days out and a little meaningful card from my mum are two things I can remember. In his hands these are worthless but to me they were my little treasures. And of course my phone had text messages and notes that meant so much to me, again he would just not care about these.

Anyway, after the inconvenience of stopping all my cards and having to buy a new phone and a little bit a lot of comfort eating! I have come to terms that they were just objects at the end of the day and I was not hurt. I am not going to let him bring me down anymore! I've had my little mope he he. 

So heres to a new week! To lots of crafting, lots of smiling and to feeling good again.

A bit more creativeness

Wow its been a while since I last posted! 

Time goes so quickly! 

Lately its been hard as I have not really had internet for a week or so, its so tough without internet! 

I felt so cut off from the World! But I tried to stay positive and spent last week making cards after work! 

I made such a mess but I loved it! 

My housemate was away for the week so I could leave the mess and come back at night, find my little bum space and start on the cards again he he.  

Here are 2 that I sent of to my friend Kat.  

They are with the postman as we speak!

I had a lovely day of shopping and lunch today!

Whilst looking through the shops I noticed I was drawn to pinafores!!!

Hoops!

I just came across this shop on Etsy!

I love embroidery hoops I made a 

pattered hoop for a friend just before 

Christmas and got really excited after how well it turned out! 

I bought lots of hoops and made one 

for a friend for Christmas 

(without taking a photo of it!!) 

but since then have not had time to do them! 

But I def need to try again they look so lovely! 

Until then I will keep admiring the lovely work produced by 'Annabelle'!

Boom bang-a bang

I am having a pj day today, poorly day from work 

feeling quite sorry for myself ;-(

I have a horrible cold so am resting, thankfully this has given me time to sort out my facebook page

Lazy dayssssssss

He he he he so I am still in bed! 
Well deserved lazyness though! 
Been a busy month with work! 
But this is giving me the chance to catch up on my Etsy shop too.  Sadly having full time work means that I can't spend as much time as I'd like on Etsy or making my crafts, but whenever possible I do squeeze it in! 
The picture above shows new brooches that were only half done until last week!  
If you ask any artist, they will tell you that they all have something, be it a painting, a pot or a dress that they have starting making and never got round to finishing! Well I have a whole suitcase full of bits and the other day I decided that I needed to start finishing them!

Personal guitar wall hanging

Hope you are having a good weekend! 

I have been out enjoying the sun today!  

A good walk does the world of good!  

Skipton is full of hills though, I think I may need to buy some walking boots....ha ha ha ha 

you can take the girl out of the City but you can't take the City out of the girl he he!

Heres the pressi that I made for Dave for Valentine's day!  

I've had the idea for ages!  

It worked out perfectly with Dave buying a new guitar on Monday!  

I wanted to make something personal so I collaged the wood with all bands and things that Dave loves!  

He loved it! 

I was surprised whilst searching for unusual wall hangings that there  weren't many on the market!  

One other idea I had was to make the wood into a shape like a retro pac-man etc! 

Maybe I should have a go at making some and adding them to my shop!  Another project idea of mine lol.  

I'm sure I make new projects for myself everyday he he.

I guess thats what you get for being crafty hey!
